Join us for an afternoon hike at the Mad River Gorge. Dogs welcome on a leash. Moderate trail about a mile. 2710 Dayton Springfield Rd., Springfield OH 45506.
The Mad River Gorge & Nature Preserve spans 91 acres of natural beauty. It features a main hiking trail along an old railroad and provides access to the Mad River. The area boasts natural dolomite cliffs reaching heights up to 50 feet for rock climbing. Additionally, it has a beautiful stream-side forest teeming with native wildflowers and offering ideal bird-watching opportunities.
Follow with a late lunch or early dinner at the Mad River Tavern, 111 W. Main St., Medway Ohio 45341. Food and drinks approximately $20.00 to $30.00
